500 Collins Street,
500 Collins Street is a 26-storey commercial office tower in the Melbourne CBD, comprising 26,000m² of office space with retail on the ground and first levels, and was purchased by Kador in 2002. It is the flagship property in the Kador portfolio and a prime example of the Kador approach of long-term, targeted investment and quality property management, focussed on sustainability and the health and wellbeing of occupants.
After purchasing 500 Collins Street, Kador undertook a large-scale upgrade and repositioning that resulted in the building becoming Australia’s first existing office building to achieve a 5-star Green Star Design rating in 2007, and being recognised with numerous innovation and sustainability awards. In 2021 it again led the industry by becoming Australia’s first existing building to achieve WELL Platinum Certification.
